Small-scale campsite, beautifully situated in nature and with direct access to the river Mira.
In 2018 we are the new owners and have created a new cosy atmosphere, which is highly appreciated by the ‘solid’ and new guests. Peace and space are the characteristics that make this site unique.
During the week there is an opportunity to catch up in our log cabin together. At some moments we have a barbeque or pizza.
The campsite has more than 20 spacious pitches with up to 10A power supply. Wifi is available throughout the campsite. The pitches are spacious and some of them are terraced under cork and holm oaks. At the campsite you can be surprised by the flora and fauna that the seasons bring.
The very spacious bathroom is equipped with underfloor heating, making the rooms in the winter wonderfully heated. Dishes and washing facilities are available.
At the bottom of the campsite is a path of 60 meters to the river Mira. The cleanest river in Europe where you can swim and fish. Various hiking routes are available around the campsite, varying from 5 to 15 km. Mountain biking is also possible. Some cycling routes are available for sporting cyclists.
At 10 km is the town of Ourique where all amenities are present. There is a large supermarket with a wide choice, also an Aldi, a small hospital, dentist, optician and so on.
There are several restaurants of an exceptionally good level at 3 km from the campsite. Wonderful to walk through the beautiful nature.
We also have a ‘gypsy’ or ´woody´ caravan. You may want to remember when you want to receive a visit (max. 2 people each, minimum is 3 nights).
