Cycling and Camping in New Forest

Juliet Elliott, a multi discipline cyclist, journalist & blogger, knows the benefits camping can provide to you, your family and the environment. Today more than ever before choice is available in campsites around the world, whether you are looking for comfort or simply looking for an experience of wilderness, a unique weekend to escape from routine, relaxing or a more challenging surroundings, you will find a campsite that fits your needs.
Which fits you this weekend?
I made a pretty hefty investment in family camping holidays this year, buying the first tent I’ve ever owned that you can actually stand up in. Or sit up in! Usually I’m all about lightweight packability but I know camping is going to be a big thing for us as a family – it’s environmentally friendly (particularly when you stay in UK), kind to your pocket and so relaxing and freeing. Our daughter is in her absolute element when we spend all our time outside riding bikes, pottering about, cooking and checking out wildlife and animals. If you’d like to read about our first family camping trip together and check out the ever-so-lovely traffic-free route that I’ve selected from Camping in the Forest’s Roundhill campsite in the New Forest, check out my new blogpost on Bikes n’ Stuf. I’m really into gravel riding right now and if that’s your bag, you’ll love it as an introduction to the area. But you really don’t need a special bike, it’s also perfect if you’ve got a kiddie seat on your bike, a tagalong or trailer.
Into camping (with or without kids)?
Or do you prefer your creature comforts?
